AVEPA OBJECTIVES
Avepa is a registered ACNC (Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission) company with the objective of funding scholarships for high academic achieving Australian students of Vietnamese origin, who demonstrate they have a strong desire to contribute to the Australia Community and to take up leadership roles.
Avepa was established in 2014 and over 5 years of operation, funds have been raised to provide more than 30 scholarships -- an average of more than 5 per year -- for Australian students of Vietnamese origin, studying in various Australian universities.
AVEPA PURPOSE
- To provide financial support to selected Australian students of Vietnamese origin in their first year of their university studies.
- To provide at least two mentorship sessions to the scholarship students in each year of their early studies and beyond as appropriate.
- To cooperate with the University from which a student was offered and accepted a place and, if practical the university would contribute up to $2500 to increase the value of the AVEPA scholarship to $5000
AVEPA MEMBERS AND DONORS
AVEPA members help support the operation of the Association including mentoring the students. Membership subscription is $100 per annum. Please contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Scholarship funding comes from people who support AVEPA's objectives & purpose. Theere are more than 30 students supported by AVEPA over the past 5 years. This would not be possible without the donation. Please contact us if you would like to help us to keep succeeding in supporting Australian students of Vietnamese origin.
AVEPA would like to deeply thank to all donors and supporters since 2014 for their generous contributions. The list is not exhaustive as several donors did not wish to publish their names.

- They show they have the potential to become a leader and a good team player in the Australian community, with the capability for accepting responsibility and be visionary.
- They are committed to attend the 2 annual mentoring sessions provided for them by AVEPA.
THE PROCESS
- AVEPA will advertise the scholarships by December each year on the AVEPA website and will close at a date in January when studens will have been able to receive and accept an offer from their chosen university.
- AVEPA will chair a Selection Committee of persons with university experience to select students to be awarded scholarships based on their application.
- AVEPA will advise the specific university of a student awarded a scholarship and will confirm with the university the level of funding they will contribute.
